09:00 Day 1
We pick you up from you hotel in Cape
Town and follow the “Cape to Cairo” road out of Cape Town to the
Du Toits mountain where we stop for a view over the beautiful Cape Winelands.
We continue on through the major fruit
producing area of the Brede River Valley to our destination at the private
wildlife reserve in the Karoo region. You are welcomed with a drink
before enjoying lunch in the beautiful open-air setting. You have time
after lunch to browse through the curio shop or have a swim in the swimming
pool before we prepare for our three hour afternoon game drive.
You return at around sunset and have
time to relax over sundowners before the expansive dinner is served
next to the pool under a nomadic tent. Spend the evening gazing at the
beautiful starry sky and a milky-way that stretches from horizon to
horizon. Have a night-cap at the fire pit before retiring to your luxury
chalet for a well deserved rest.
You rise early on day 2 to go out on
the morning game drive in the cool air while the animals are still at
their most active. The game drive will last approximately 2 hours and
you return in time to enjoy a hearty “full English” breakfast. We
pack up after breakfast and depart for the scenic drive through the
historic Bains Kloof Pass. We stop at the top of the pass to enjoy the
amazing view over the Cape Peninsula with Table Mountain in the distance.
We do a short orientation tour through
the town of Paarl, the home of the Afrikaans language and stop at a
local restaurant for lunch (own expense). After lunch we visit the old
Victor Verster prison gates where Nelson Mandela took his first steps
in freedom at 14h15 in the afternoon on that momentous day, the 11th
February 1990.
We move on to the renowned Fairview
Wine Estate for a Master Cheese & Wine Tasting presented by one
of their resident wine experts in the well appointed tasting room.
Your tour finishes at approximately
17h00 when we drop you off at your hotel in Cape Town.

4195.00
