06:30 Pick up
We pick you up at your accommodation
in Cape Town and follow the “Cape to Cairo” road to the Wemmershoek
Mountain Range and we stop at the top of the Du Toitskloof Pass for
an amazing view over the Cape Winelands.
We continue down into the Brede
River Valley to the Private Nature Reserve to enjoy a hearty breakfast.
Following breakfast you will mount up for your two hour safari in the
company of an experienced Ranger. Get closer to the animals than ever
before because the wild animals do not recognize the horse as a threat
and they will happily continue foraging as you approach.
You return to the reserve restaurant
for lunch and time to relax. You will have the opportunity to have a
swim in the swimming pool, time and weather permitting.
We leave the reserve and drive
a short way up the Brede River Valley to cross the mountains via the
historic Bains Kloof Pass. We stop high on the slopes of Limiet Mountain
for a view over the Cape Peninsula and Table Mountain in the distance.
We descend from the mountain and
pass through the town of Wellington. We may stop at Fairview Wine Estate
for the optional wine tasting if you wish to do this or we will continue
on to Cape Town. It is possible to enjoy the optional one hour Champagne
Sunset on top of Table Mountain at the end of the day. We drop you back
at your hotel after all the activities are finished.
